Partial Solar Eclipse : Tuesday 11 September 2007
The second partial solar eclipse (khandgrass surya grahan) of 2007 will take place on Bhadrapad krishna Amavas, Tuesday, September 11, 2007 from IST 15:56 to 20:07
The moon’s outer shadow (known as the penumbra), from where the moon will appear to partially eclipse the sun, will slice into a part of Antarctica and the the lower two-thirds of the South American continent (except northern area) giving a potential viewing audience of over a quarter of a billion people the opportunity to watch the moon partially cover the sun.
This partial eclipse खण्डग्रास सुर्यग्रहण will not visible in India and has no significance to any religious events.
