“राजन! दुर्योधनके जन्म लेते ही मैंने कहा था कि केवल इसी एक पुत्रको तुम त्याग दो । इसके त्यागसे सौ पुत्रोंकी वृद्धि होगी और इसका त्याग न करनेसे सौ पुत्रोंका नाश होगा।” जो वृद्धि भविष्यमें नाशका कारण बने, उसे अधिक महत्व नहीं देना चाहिये और उस क्षयका भी बहुत आदर करना चाहिये; जो आगे चल कर अभ्युदयका कारण हो।
